Final artwork from my 2021 solo exhibition "Totemia". Easily the largest of my Totemia series at a metre and a half tall. The Kush Totem is a labour of love, taking everything learned through the months of painting for the exhibition and applying it with confidence, revelling in the process.
In this work I've really begun to merge the various elements, lines and facial compositions to create new and strange hybrids, removing some of the individuality from the different characters and blending them together.
