The themes and colour palette give me big 90's vibes, reminiscent of 'rad' Kmart rollerblades, MTV hip hop vids and early morning "Rage" on the ABC.
Various lines and shapes interconnect and overlap allowing the viewers eye to wander over the artwork, finding hidden elements and new combinations. The work playfully uses the phenomenon of facial pareidolia to reward the audience with a variety of possibilities hidden within the mix of lines and shapes.
This work draws inspiration from a blend of cartoons, animation, graffiti and fine art practice.
